Dr Virginie Le Masson is a Research Associate with the Overseas Development Institute. Her research explores the linkages between gender inequalities, social injustice, and increased disaster risks with the aim to improve development and humanitarian practice. Her more recent work examines how gender-based violence and inequalities in accessing basic services, including health care, undermine people’s resilience to the impacts of disasters and climate change.
With Lorcan Clarke, she is author of the report “Shocks, stresses and Universal Health Coverage: Pathways to address resilience and health”
