Marina MAIERO

Technical Officer, Health and Climate Change Team, Department of Public Health, Environmental and Social Determinants of Health, World Health Organization

Marina is the WHO focal point for advocacy and partnerships on Health and Climate Change. Marina collaborates with partners and member states to promote policy recommendations on protecting health from climate change under the UNFCCC talks and negotiations. Marina is also collaborating with the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity to support the mainstreaming of biodiversity into health policy and action plans. Marina is a Development Economist and, before joining WHO, worked in the field of sustainable rural development and natural disaster response, emergency operations relief & rehabilitation with IFAD, WFP and FAO.
